</script>Objective was to study some environmental effects on the calving interval in Santa Ines sheep. Data were used experimental sheep flock of Santa Ines, Federal University of Piauí, Campus Profª Cinobelina Elvas, in Bom Jesus-PI. Environmental effects on the studied range of delivery were prenatal: birth year, birth type, age of mother at birth and weight of dam. The study of environmental effects on the calving interval was analyzed and the means were tested by the Students Newman Keuls test at 5% probability. It was observed range of calving interval medium 281.10 ± 64.76 days. The effects of year and season of calving were significant on the calving interval (P 0, 05), calving interval. The effects of year of birth and season of calving were important sources of variation on the calving interval, which reflects the need to consider these effects in models of genetic and phenotypic evaluation.
