Quels leviers de compétitivité pour les industries agroalimentaires françaises en Europe ?

Abstract

Sans crier gare, les produits importés remplacent peu à peu les produits domestiques dans l’assiette des consommateurs français. En 2023, environ 38 % du beurre, 30 % des fromages et 21 % de la viande bovine consommés en France étaient d’origine étrangère. Ces chiffres, loin d’être négligeables pour un pays pourtant premier producteur et deuxième transformateur de produits agricoles en Europe, s’inscrivent dans une tendance de fond de dépendance aux importations. Soucieux de ces conséquences, les pouvoirs publics cherchent à restaurer la compétitivité des industries agroalimentaires. La tâche est toutefois ardue et les avis divergent sur la manière de procéder. L’objectif du travail réalisé était de proposer une méthodologie permettant d’évaluer, dans un cadre unifié, les effets de politiques de compétitivité pour les industries agroalimentaires.
