The advantages of high-efficiency fossil fuel-fired individual room space heaters which can burn clean fuels such as methanol, methane, or natural gas are discussed, and the overall design described. These heaters have an overall efficiency of virtually 100 percent, no duct losses, and are individually controlled. Further feasibility and design studies are recommended. (LCL)
