El goce de mirar

Abstract

Esta obra es un llamado a examinar lo minúsculo y olvidado, lo que el ciudadano común percibe sin darse cuenta, sin darle mayor importancia. Aunque muy pocos lo aprecian, por medio del lente se puede captar lo sublime y conmovedor de los contrastes presentes y efímeros que por el arte trascienden a la ardua y exigente posteridad. La intuición lleva al autor a aprovecharse de manera audaz del regalo de la luz para moldear magníficos elementos que esperan ser descubiertos por el observador enclaustrado en la cotidianidad. De esta forma, el autor hace uso de las posibilidades que ofrece la fotografía en blanco y negro como catalizador para intensificar formas y presencias. En palabras del autor: Estas obras fueron concebidas en medio de la cotidianidad, donde la indiferencia ataca con ahínco los elementos que presento, opacados por obras majestuosas, tan distantes de lo que produzco con mi óptica, dándole prioridad a lo útil y olvidado, que, en mi concepto, encierra una fascinación singular que trato de congelar para saciar las ansias de ver la belleza oculta de lo común y poco ponderado, gozando del mirar sin ser observado.
