Abstract

Dans la litterature georgienne medievale, peu de textes sont aussi deliberement anti-armeniens que le Martyre de Gobron, ecrit entre 914 et 918 par l'eveque Etienne, premier titulaire du siege de T'beti au T'ao-K'lardzeti. Bien des chretiens de cette region partageaient a cette epoque la peur de l'heresie. Toutefois, si le culte de Gobron a vraiment dependu de ce texte d'Etienne pour s'imposer comme le pense l'A., il faut bien dire que ce fut un echec surtout parce que la part faite aux musulmans a du paraitre rapidement excessive et parce que le danger armenien au T'ao-K'lardzeti resta sans lendemain
