
This essay looks into the Additive structure relating Sub-scores, which are associated with subscales, to Overall score, which is associated with all testing items. This essay also shows how to calculate the Sub-scores and the Overall score based on the testing item responses of (i) partial credits; (ii) different difficulty levels and (iii) interactions among any combinations out of the testing items.
