This paper aims to identify and map capabilities applied to the management of business ecosystems. The methodology used was a systematic literature review in two international databases: Web of Science and Scopus. In total, 789 papers were collected on the subject, 89 of which were relevant about capabilities and ecosystems. From this, a content analysis was carried out, discovering 122 identified capabilities, distributed among three actors of the ecosystem: focal firm, suppliers and complementors. The identified capabilities were grouped into 10 aggregated capabilities, one being dynamic and the other nine operational. The identification and mapping that we undertook in this article seems to us to present a first structuring of the management of capabilities in the ecosystem. The main contribution was the development of an ecosystem capabilities management framework, which has a dynamic capability as a central link and driver of the set of capabilities to support companies and the ecosystem, as well as for the alignment and growth of the ecosystem.
