Emotions and Emotional Self-Regulation

Authors: Monica Aneta Turturean;

Emotions and Emotional Self-Regulation

Abstract

As early as 1948, the World Health Organization defined health as "the complete state of bio-psycho-social well-being." "It does not just mean the absence of disease or infirmity," the WHO continues. Unfortunately, this comprehensive definition of health is far too little in the consciousness of the general public. The public health system focuses mainly on the physical component of health and gives less importance to its psycho-social dimension. Therefore, there is a need to intervene more on emotional education programs for adults. Of course, going to a psychologist / psychotherapist is a solution, but one that requires time and insufficiency in relation to the growing need for knowledge in the emotional field.
