This study of provides a comprehensive review of literature in regard to the effectiveness of school administrator roles on empowering teacher leadership which further affect students’ academic performance and school collaborative culture by studying the definitions of key terms, analyzing the benefits and challenges of teacher leadership, and comparing the teacher leadership standards. This section also reflects on the case studies of educational institutions where teacher leadership standards were implemented in school policies.
