Smart Irrigation System

Abstract

The main objective of the proposed system is to develop a system which monitors the soil moisture level, temperature, humidity using various sensors connected to a raspberry pi. The proposed system can be a very efficient substitute to old farming method. This system is designed to build an automated system that may help any farmer to check the status of the field on any device that is compatible with the system in his home or anywhere where he wants. This system is an automated system for the farmers and their farms. Nowadays automation plays a very important role in a man’s life. It provides comfort, reduce energy, efficiency but also saves time. Nowadays big companies uses automation and different types of machines which are costly and which are not compatible in a farm. So, this system will be low cost system which will help the farmers with their fields. This system will be using raspberry pi which is the most important element in this system. The automation in the system allows to control different instruments automatically. Water is the most essential element in the field of farming so this system will be useful in saving water.
