English Abstract: The article discusses a possible link between the zodiacal sign of Capricorn, which Octavian Augustus chose as his symbol, and the constellation in which the sun stood on the day of the beginning of the calendar of Julius Caesar, that is January 1, 46 BC. Augustus may have chosen this constellation as the symbol of the birth of a new era, which Caesar, the adoptive father, had established for the calendar, and Augustus was carrying out by means of his empire.
