Abstract

Turkish Abstract: Bu makalede Kerimi’nin sehrengizinin sekil ve muhteva ozellikleri ile eserin tenkitli metnine yer verilmistir. Kanuni devri sairlerinden olan ve hayati hakkinda oldukca sinirli bilgilere ulasilan Kerimi’nin Edirne sehrengizinin iki nushasina ulasilmistir. Bu nushalarin karsilastirilmasi neticesinde olusan metne gore eser 202 beyittir. Tevhid, munâcât, sebeb-i te’lif, Edirne sehrinin ovgusu, Edirne guzellerinin ovgusu, dua ve hâtime bolumleri bulunan manzumede Kerimi 59 guzelin ovgusunu yapmaktadir. Kerimi’nin Edirne sehrengizi, XVI. yuzyildan itibaren gorulmeye baslayan ve yazilmasi bir sure moda haline gelen Divan siiri icerisinde ozgun yapisiyla dikkat ceken turun tipik bir ornegidir. Sanat kaygisinin gorulmedigi, carsi esnafindan meslek sahibi erkek guzellerin mesleklerine, ad ve lakaplarina uygun cinas ve tesbihlerle tasvir edildigi karakteristik bir yapi arz etmektedir.English Abstract: This article examines and analyzes the form and content of Kerimi’s Edirne Shehrengiz. We have limited information about the life of Poet Kerimi, who lived duing the reign of Ottoman Sultan Suleyman the Magnificent (r.1520-66). So far two copies of Kerimi’s Edirne Shehrengiz have been identified. Shehrengiz is a type of Divan poetry, which honors a city and its people. It first appeared in the sixteenth century. A comparison of the two copies of Kerimi’s Edirne Shehrengiz indicates that the work is composed of 202 couplets. His work has several sections; tawhid (Oneness), invocation, causes of writing, compliments of the city of Edirne, compliments of 59 Edirne people, prayer and epilog.
