Abstract

Spanish Abstract: Las monitorias son espacios para que los estudiantes participen en actividades administrativas, academicas y de investigacion de la Universidad. “En EAFIT los estudiantes son sujeto de su propia educacion”. Por esto, la Institucion ha favorecido la creacion de un programa de monitorias, que opera desde hace 35 anos, con una tasa de vinculacion promedio de 800 estudiantes por ano, desde 2001. Dicho programa ofrece a los estudiantes complemento en su educacion academica, profesional y personal, dentro del ambito universitario. El presente articulo promueve una vision general, tanto del programa como de los estudiantes - monitores - con el objetivo de realizar una evaluacion preliminary que permita emprender nuevos estudios en el tema. English Abstract: Tutorships are spaces given to selected students, in order for them to take part in administrative, academic and investigative activities. “At EAFIT, students are subject to their own education”; hence the University has favored a Tutorship program that has been operating for 35 years, with an average enrollment rate of 800 students per year since 2001. Moreover this program provides them a framework to further improve their academic, professional and personal education within the University scoop. This article presents a general overview of both the program and the students – tutors - aiming to make a preliminary assesment that allows and understanding of upcoming related studies.
