The National Basketball Association ("NBA") has a long history of being the sport of the inner city and minorities. With this history comes the inclusion of street culture. However, in recent years the NBA implemented a number of policies that have the effect of distancing the sport from street culture. I specifically look at the Age Floor and the Dress Code through unconscious racism to determine whether or not the NBA implemented these policies based on race.
