Abstract This paper will address the successful implementation of an environmental management system registered to ISO 14001 (1) in an oilfield service company. The EMS covers both onshore and offshore requirements and works within the highly regulated environment of the UK sector of the North Sea. The paper presents a historical case study from initiation and preliminary review, through implementation to successful registration of the EMS to ISO 14001.
