ABSTRACT This work illustrates the application of accepted relationships to thermal problems in production equipment. Previous work has shown that relationships which were developed for much simpler cases are adaptable to oilfield problems. The current work illustrates such application in a valve design, and also shows a means of calculating the temperature of a casing seal.
