
The authors comment on how U.S. immigration and health policies are related, focusing on how stigma, discrimination, and stress experienced by immigrants can reduce health. Particular attention is given to the differences between immigration laws and policies and immigrant laws and policies before the authors discuss anti-immigrant policies since the 1970s.
