A CUT, os movimentos sociais e o sindicalismo de movimento social

Abstract

A relação da Central Única dos Trabalhadores (CUT) com os movimentos sociais está inscrita no discurso da central sindical desde a sua gênese, tendo emergido de modo quase espontâneo no bojo dos amplos processos de democratização do país de que a CUT foi protagonista ativa. No entanto, a “agenda cidadã” da CUT – compaginável com um “sindicalismo de movimento social” (SMS) – foi frequentemente desafiada por apelos institucionalistas que, recorrentemente, colocaram em causa a assunção e renovação dessa relação com os movimentos sociais. Este texto visa, assim, por um lado, recuperar alguns desses discursos e orientações programáticas ao longo de fases da sua histórica e ciclos políticos distintos. Em complemento, por outro lado, concedemos atenção ao papel do “coletivo de mulheres da CUT” enquanto embrião de uma inspiração feminista por meio da qual se podem encontrar contributos, a partir do interior da CUT, de um SMS. A apresentação de alguns quantitativos recolhidos durante o 13º Congresso Nacional da CUT (13º Concut) visam igualmente captar percepções sobre o SMS.
