Abstract

Objetivou-se com este trabalho avaliar o efeito alelopático da incorporação no solo da biomassa de diferentes espécies de adubos verdes (EAV) sobre a biomassa seca da tiririca (Cyperus rotundus). O experimento foi conduzido na Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul - Unidade de Aquidauna, setor Fitotecnia, MS, Brasil. As EAV utilizadas foram a Mucuna aterrima, Mucuna deeringiana e Cajanus cajan e uma área cujo solo permaneceu sem cobertura vegetal e com alta infestação de tiririca (testemunha). Foi quantificada a biomassa seca (BS) das plantas emergidas de tiritica aos 7, 14, 21 e 28 dias após a incorporação da cobertura vegetal (DAIC) em 1 m² de cada subparcela. Aos 28 DAIC, num volume de solo de solo de 8000 cm³ de cada parcela, foi feita a contagem do número de tubérculos de tiririca existentes (NT), sendo os mesmos, implantados em caixas gerbox preenchidas com areia e acondicionadas em estufa do tipo BOD para obtenção da porcentagem de germinação de tubérculos (GT). A BS da tiririca aumentou linearmente com o decorrer dos DAIC da biomassa das EAV no solo, onde a M. aterrima apresentou o maior efeito alelopático sobre a tiririca, reduzindo significativamente a BS, NT e GT desta espécie daninha.
