Abstract

A ram is considered half the flock due to its higher fitness (the proportionate contribution of off spring to the next generation) than ewe and selection of a breeding ram is one of the most important decision on any breeding farm. for a sound breeding program, a sound and quality breeding ram with excellent confirmation and above average performance in production and reproduction traits is a prerequisite.
