Abstract

The qualification work is devoted to the design and implementation of a digital twin and the development of a control program for the sorting section of the FESTO MPS500 station based on the modeling results obtained. Using the imitation model, it was possible to identify inaccuracies in the control algorithm, as well as optimize the sorting process in terms of performance. The digital twin has been upgraded compared to the hardware implementation of the original sorting station by replacing the optical sensor with a webcam. The control program was checked on the physical equipment. The digital twin of the station is implemented in the development environment of FACTORY I/O and AnyLogic. The control program is written in the languages of the IEC 61131-3 standard.
