Abstract

To conduct an experimental study, a model of an arteriovenous fistula with a radiocephalic anastomotic configuration (anastomosis of the end of the head vein into the side of the radial artery) was built in SolidWorks and printed on a 3D printer. The characteristic dimensions of the model correspond to the average, increased by 1.95 times. A study of the structure of pulsating blood flow in an arteriovenous fistula model was carried out using the V Flow ultrasonic vector imaging method implemented in the Mindray Resona 7 scanner. Velocity vector fields were obtained in three sections of the arteriovenous fistula model at different time points. The analysis of the evolution of the flow structure along the cycle length is carried out using the obtained velocity vector fields. Profiles of the averaged velocity and degree of turbulence at the moment of maximum flow are constructed for the input section of the model (distal part of the radial artery) and for the section of the head vein immediately after the turn of the flow.
