Abstract

The purpose of the study is to analyze the effect of the rigidity of the lower floors on the horizontal movements of a high-rise building. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were set: 1. Analysis of ways to increase rigidity and stability in the design of buildings and structures;Â 2. Simulate two calculation models: without reinforcement and with reinforcement of the lower floors, and perform the calculation in the SCAD software package; 3. Compare the horizontal movements for each type of circuit; 4. Confirm or deny the profitability of the amplification scheme. In the course of the work, various sources were analyzed on the following topics: ensuring the stability of high-rise buildings, ensuring spatial rigidity, effective elements of rigidity of high-rise buildings. In the process of the study, the importance of increasing the stiffness of the lower floors was confirmed, since this reduces horizontal movements, and with SpeedCore technology, the usable area increases to a greater extent, as well as material consumption decreases.
