Abstract

The aim of the study is to consider the prospects for the application of the Internet of Things technologies to solve the problems of applying supply management, warehouse resources and tracking along all chains. Research tasks: identify the basic concepts of the Internet of things and the principles of use in the supply chain; analyze the use of RFID and DNS technologies in the supply chain; explore the global and russian market of the Internet of things when introducing the “Internet of things” in production. The study was based on hypothetical manufacturing using tracking systems based on RFID and IoT sensors and machine learning models. Research methods: General scientific research methods were used: content and comparative analysis, the method of analogies, as well as specific research methods, in particular, methods of organizational design and evaluation of investment attractiveness of projects. The main results of the study: formulated clear concepts about the technology of the Internet of things and determined the basic principles of work; problems and opportunities are presented when using technologies, sensors of the Internet of things in the production of a new generation; research has been carried out on RFID sensors and a domain name system for tracking in a warehouse or upon delivery. The scientific novelty of the study is the digital transformation of supply chains with the introduction of the Internet of Things technology.
