Abstract

The training manual corresponds to the educational standard of higher education of Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University in the Bachelor’s degree program 01.03.02 «Applied mathematics and informatics», for the discipline «Interval analysis». The manual is devoted to computed tomography with a small viewing angle. This method is in great demand in studies of objects that are transparent to their own radiation when recording X-ray radiation. In this case, it is not possible to use lens and mirror optics, and the work is carried out in the geometry of a camera obscura. The manual discusses in detail the necessary geometric calculations, with great detail for the two-dimensional case and briefly in the three-dimensional setting. The problems of algebraic solvability of solving the problem of volumetric luminosity reconstruction using interval analysis are considered. An important part of the manual are examples illustrating calculations and a large number of illustrations. The manual is intended for undergraduates, graduate students, researchers and engineers, engaged in research using tomography methods.
