The training manual is in compliance with the exemplary program «History of Russia», approved by the Federal educational and methodological association for historical sciences and archeology for teaching bachelor’s degree students and specialists in the major «Engineering, Technology and Engineering Science». It contains chapters on key issues and main periods of Russian history of the XX — early XXI centuries, reflecting the current state of the historical science. Created by the team of authors: chapter 1 — I. V. Sidorchuk, S. B. Ulianova, chapter 2 — V. S. Izmozik, B. N. Kovalev, chapter 3 — S. B. Ulianova, chapter 4 — I. V. Sidorchuk, chapter 5 — B. N. The manual is designed to raise students’ comprehensive awareness of Russia’s cultural and historical distinctiveness, its place in the world and European civilization; to provide a systematic knowledge of the main patterns and characteristics of the Russian historical process; to introduce students to the range of historical problems related to the area of their professional activities. The manual is intended for students of all majors.
