
El estreno del filme Dune (2021) dirigido por D. Villeneuve reflotó una serie de nuevas disquisiciones acerca de aquel universo ficcional expresado en múltiples lenguajes y prácticas sociales. Este artículo se propone analizar una de esas expresiones, la del juego de mesa Dune Un juego de conquista, diplomacia y traición (2019 [1979]). Se hará foco en los modos transpositivos de la novela al juego, observables en el funcionamiento del sistema del juego, el diseño del gameplay y las reglas, todo acorde a las caracterizaciones que se desarrollan en el relato literario. Se tendrá en cuenta la situación actual de las operatorias transpositivas y cómo en proceso en particular, influenciado también por un “estilo de época”, se elabora un pasaje de las formas narrativas del género literario a las predominantemente descriptivas del género juego de mesa de estrategia y conflicto bélico.
