Estrategias de diseño para motivar conductas sustentables

Abstract

Este trabajo incursiona en los aportes del diseño sustentable más allá de la etapa de producción, enfocándose en el período de uso. Aborda la problemática de los residuos desde la óptica de estrategias de diseño, que permita evaluar las reacciones del usuario ante diferentes estímulos, que puedan identificarse como conductas sustentables. Constituye una línea de investigación en el diseño con intención tendiente a influenciar en el comportamiento de los usuarios. Considera articulaciones y conexiones interdisciplinares, que incluyen el área socio-económica y la psicológica,en su aproximación al problema en estudio. Los aspectos a investigar se refieren a ¿cómo el diseño puede lograr fortalecer conductas sustentables en los usuarios? y ¿qué modelo de estrategias de diseño con intención es válido en el contexto local? Entender cómo los productos y servicios utilizados cotidianamente pueden ser diseñados, puestos en su contexto de uso, y posibilitarían al diseñador rever su proceso de diseño, evaluar herramientas y estrategias para facilitar el desarrollo de comportamientos y conductas más sostenibles. El impacto de este tipo de investigaciones, independientemente de mejorar la práctica del diseño para el cambio de comportamiento, trasciende el escenario académico, dado que posibilita abordar problemas sociales y ambientales, reuniendo conocimiento de diferentes disciplinas y estableciendo paralelos que posibilitan la transposición de conceptos.
