Wstyd w obliczu innych

Shame Before Others
Authors: Ahmed, Sara;

Wstyd w obliczu innych

Abstract

Ahmed analyses white Australians’ and the Australian government’s declarations of shame with respect to the Aborigines. She asks how individual shame can be transposed onto the nation and how shame as a political declaration differs from personal confessions of guilt. Her methodological inspirations include the psychology of shame (S. S. Tomkins, E. H. Erikson) as well as performative linguistics (J. L. Austin).

Inspiracje metodologiczne: psychologia wstydu (S. S. Tomkins, E. H. Erikson), językoznawstwo performatywne (J. L. Austin).

Keywords

postkolonializm, postcolonialism, shame, speech acts, polityka międzynarodowa, wstyd, rasizm, politics of emotion, polityka emocji, akty mowy, international politics, nationalism, nacjonalizm, racism
