CAAC CUENCA. Colecciones y Archivos de Arte Contemporáneo de Cuenca

Abstract

Las Colecciones y Archivos de Arte Contemporáneo (CAAC) de la Facultad de Bellas de Cuenca surgen a finales del año 2012 con la pretensión de reunir bajo dicha marca al conjunto de centros, museos, colecciones y archivos que distintos profesores-investigadores pertenecientes a este centro han ido construyendo desde su creación, en 1986, hasta lograr compilar después de todos estos años unos recursos patrimoniales que tienen como marco común las prácticas artísticas desarrolladas por las vanguardias alternativas surgidas a lo largo de la segunda mitad del siglo XX y comienzos del XXI. En las CAAC de Cuenca se agrupan en la actualidad el Museo Internacional de Electrografía (MIDE), el Centro de Creación Experimental (CDCE) y su Archivo de Arte Sonoro, los Archivos de Artes Escénicas (ARTEA), la Colección Parkett de Arte Múltiple, la Colección de Grabado Contemporáneo de Juana Mordó, y la Colección de Arte Gráfico y Múltiple de la Facultad de Bellas Artes de Cuenca. Desde las CAAC de Cuenca se gestionan además los archivos cinematográficos pertenecientes al Centro Pedro Almodóvar de la UCLM y los archivos históricos de arte sonoro del Laboratorio de Música Electroacústica. Sus fondos y recursos están permanentemente a disposición de investigadores, especialistas y estudiosos, tanto a través de sus espacios físicos especialmente habilitados para tal fin, como online, a través de sus distintos espacios virtuales en red.
