Dietrich Bonhoeffer’s “Religionless Christianity” brought its author a scandal- ous reputation. Bonhoeffer’s name is associated with serious changes in the life of Western society in the second half of the twentieth century. Pastor Bonhoeffer was not afraid to go far in his statements. One of the most famous his ecclesiasti- cal and social insights associated with the “religionless Christianity” project, the principal features of which are discussed in the article. The main conclusion is that the “religionless Christianity” project, conceived by the author for the extensive missionary purpose is ultimately proving to be self-destructive factor.
