Entre ingenios y agudezas: nuevos rumbos de la crítica celestinesca y picaresca

Abstract

This selection of celestinesque and picaresque studies is the result of the joint work of new, experienced and established researchers from the American and European continents. It is a volume that proposes interdisciplinary and innovative perspectives that address both the defining works of the picaresque and celestinesque literatures and related texts that deserve greater critical attention. The contributions that make up "Entre ingenios y agudezas: nuevos rumbos de la crítica celestinesca y picaresca" cover theatre, prose, iconography, ecdotics, politics, pornography and linguistics, often making comparisons between creations from different periods and highlighting the essential aspects of everything related to "Celestina" and the picaresque. The result is a set of works whose main purpose is not only to shed light on questions that are still burning and/or unresolved, but also to encourage research into the subjects mentioned here and to demonstrate their vitality and survival.
