I disturbi del linguaggio nella schizofrenia nelle prospettive neurolinguistica e psicolinguistica

Abstract

La psicopatologia descrittiva ha classicamente fatto coincidere il linguaggio con gli aspetti formali del pensiero. Recenti sviluppi della ricerca sperimentale e clinica hanno valorizzato lo studio del linguaggio come facoltà comunicativa specifica. Nell’ambito della neuropsicologia cognitiva, lo sviluppo di modelli di ricerca innovativi, come quelli basati sulla capacità di mentalizzazione, ha permesso di formulare nuove ipotesi sugli aspetti patogenetici della schizofrenia. Inoltre, la capacità di mentalizzazione appare essere una competenza di base per la dimensione pragmatica del linguaggio. L’autore, dopo una breve descrizione dei metodi di indagine della neurolinguistica e della psicolinguistica, espone una rassegna di recenti studi ottenuta consultando le banche dati PubMed e PsycInfo. Infine, si sofferma sul rapporto tra i risultati della ricerca e aspetti relativi alla pratica clinica.
