Environnement allergénique d'une population d'enfants asthmatiques à Annaba (Algérie)

Abstract

L’etude a porte sur une population pediatrique de 75 patients asthmatiques de la ville d’Annaba (Algerie) (âge moyen : 9 ans, sex ratio M/F : 1,64) recrutes par des cliniciens et qui ont rempli une fiche de renseignements preetablie. Cette etude est basee sur les explorations biologiques, essentiellement le dosage serique des immunoglobulines E (IgE) totales (Access, Beckman Coulter TM) et des IgE specifiques (Vidas, Stallertest et Immulite 2000, DPC). L’analyse des questionnaires et des resultats biologiques a permis d’evaluer les relations clinicobiologiques dans cette population et de montrer que : l’atopie basee sur des criteres familiaux est tres frequente (74 %), les symptomes de l’atopie associes a l’asthme sont frequents chez ces enfants atopiques (96 %) dont la majorite (46 %) a un asthme severe de grade 3 signifiant un besoin de traitement. Les sensibilisations aux trophallergenes sont rares dans cette population et toujours associees aux sensibilisations vis-a-vis des pneumallergenes (2/3 sont sensibilises aux acariens, dont la moitie est egalement sensibilisee aux blattes). Ces dernieres seraient favorisees par la climatologie dans la region d’Annaba qui augmenterait le risque de developper des maladies allergiques.
