Abstract

RESUMO As células cardíacas são importantes na manutenção da vida de um organismo. Elas são responsáveis pelos batimentos cardíacos. Para que esta função seja satisfeita, ela possuem diversas propriedades, dentre elas a de receber, transmitir e até mesmo criar fenômenos elétricos que possibilitam as contrações do músculo cardíaco. Para entender o mecanismo do ciclo cardíaco, é importante conhecermos quais são os fatores responsáveis pela despolarização e repolarização de uma célula mediante uma ativação elétrica. A célula cardíaca possue um potencial elétrico de repouso devido as concentrações de íons de sódio e potássio no meio intra e extra celular. Conforme as variações de concentração desses ions, esses potenciais e modificam. Toda a atividade elétrica da célula pode ser captada pelo galvanômetro e ser registrada graficamente. Durante o ciclo cardíaco, o sistema de condução do coração é responsável pela estimulação e transmissão dessa atividade elétrica para todas as fibras cardíacas, indo ocasionar as diástoles e sístoles. "Esse fenômeno é captado pelos eletrodos do eletrocardiógrafo colocados na superfície corporal. Essa atividade elétrica é resultante da soma gradiente elétrico de cada célula, logo o registro eletrocardiográfico nada mais é do que a traducão gráfica dessa soma e que em sua continuidade forma o ciclo cardíaco cuja sigla é P, Q, R, S, T.
