Abstract

Problem Statement. Scientific communication is the main mechanism of functioning and development of science, one of the important mechanisms of its connection with society, the condition of formation of the scientist and a means of mutual stimulation of his/her creative activity. The basis of scientific communication is the professional communication of its participants, when the scientific conference is the most common form of such interaction through the dissemination of research results and the exchange of information and knowledge. The purpose of the study is to highlight the peculiarities of library scientific communication in modern conditions on the example of objective indicators of the content of the collection of materials of the International Scientific Conference of V. I. Vernadsky National library of Ukraine Library. Science. Communication. From resource management - to knowledge management (2021). The aim of the study is to determine the quantitative characteristics of the published conference materials, to set quantitative indicators of these publications authors, the identification of institutions, and scholars who have prepared joint publications. The methodological basis of the article includes general scientific and special scientific methods of research. In particular, these are: systemic, formal logical and socio-communication approaches; methods of analysis, statistical, descriptive, generalization, synthesis, which providedan objective analysis of the subject and contributed to the successful realization of the goal. Scientific novelty is in focusing on scientific communication as a priorityin Ukrainian library science to intensify professional interaction. Conclusions. The research sho wed t hat the intensification of integration processes in science, the emergence of perspective areas of research contribute to the preparation of original publications. It is stated that today V. I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine demonstrates high standards of research, information, publishing and cultural, and educational center. An important unifying role of the library as a modern world-class library and information complex allows you to promote the achievements of Ukrainian librarians in the world scientific and educational space through the spread of research results and exchange of information and knowledge. It has been proven that the expansion of international cooperation is now urgent, including through the preparation of jointpublications, which will further promote the professionalism of library staff.
