Abstract

Straipsnyje nagrinėjama judėjimo samprata XIX a. pabaigos – XX a. pradžios Lietuvos materialistų darbuose. Spręsdami materijos problemą šio laikotarpio Lietuvos materialistai ir ateistai ją siejo su judėjimo sąvoka. Jie materiją traktavo ne kaip pasyvią ir negyvą, bet kaip aktyvią, veiklią ir amžinai kintančią, kartu pabrėždami, kad judėjimas yra neatskiriama, visuotinė ir amžina materijos savybė. Nagrinėjo konkrečių judėjimo formų įvairumą, jų perėjimą iš vienos į kitą. Išskyrė mechaninio, fizinio, cheminio, biologinio judėjimo formas. Neigė, kad grynoji mintis yra įmanoma be materijos – minties judėjimas, mąstymas, neįmanomas be smegenų. Tokiu požiūriu jie paneigė sielos buvimą, bekūnį dvasios mąstymą. Nors Lietuvos materialistai atmetė hipotezę apie paslaptingą išorinį „pirmąjį postūmį“ kaip judėjimo šaltinį, tačiau, straipsnio autoriaus teigimu. jie dar nesugebėjo atskleisti tikrojo judėjimo šaltinio ir priežasties, nesugebėjo įveikti mechanistinio materializmo trūkumų.
