
La familia Linaceae es reconocida en el Perú por presentar tres géneros y ocho especies (Brako & Zarucchi 1993; Ulloa Ulloa et al. 2004), todas ellas hierbas. En este trabajo reconocemos un endemismo en el género Linum. Este taxón endémico ocupa las regiones del Matorral Desértico, Mesoandina y de la Puna Húmeda y Seca, entre los 1740 y 3100 m de altitud. No se encuentra representado en el Sistema Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas por el Estado.
