El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar los parametros bioquimicos sericos de tilapias del Nilo (Oreochromis niloticus), linaje tailandes chitralada, producidas en un sistema de piscicultura intensiva y capturadas con atarraya. Se tomaron muestras de sangre a 40 ejemplares por puncion de la vena caudal. Los peces tenian un peso de 453 ± 52 g. Se determino proteina total, albumina, globulinas, acido urico, creatinina, urea, calcio, fosforo inorganico, relacion Ca/P, magnesio y fosfatasa alcalina. En un contexto general, los resultados mostraron parametros semejantes a los establecidos para peces de escama, con excepcion del acido urico.
