Abstract

Este texto tem como objetivo explorar melhor e analisar mais profundamente o mecanismo da iniciativa popular no Brasil. No nosso país o regime democrático adotado é a democracia semi-direta e assim sendo, este mecanismo se apresenta como uma das formas possíveis de participação direta da população. A iniciativa popular tem vários pré-requisitos estabelecidos na Constituição e várias implicações que são apresentadas no decorrer do texto.
