
Induction heating inverters are generally equipped with water-cooling systems. This results from considerable, of at least several kilowatt, power of these devices as well as from the easy availability of water-cooling used commonly, for example, for cooling the inductor. The paper presents a method for the calculation of water cooling of radiators based on the use of the finite element method for the analysis of heat transfer in the radiator, taking into account convection heating of water flowing in the cooling channel, which leads to a change in heat transfer conditions. Wynika to zarowno ze znacznych, co najmniej kilkunasto kilowatowych, mocy tych urządzen jak rowniez z faktu dostepności chlodzenia wodnego stosowanego powszechnie np. do chlodzenia wzbudnika. W pracy przedstawiono metode obliczania chlodzenia wodnego radiatorow opartą o wykorzystanie metody elementow skonczonych do analizy przewodzenia ciepla w radiatorze z uwzglednieniem konwekcyjnego podgrzewania przeplywającej w kanale chlodzącym wody, prowadzącego do zmiany warunkow wymiany ciepla.
