
The motive of love in literature has been reflected variously according to the different cultures for the ages. This variation is caused not only by the geographical and cultural differences but by the historical events and literary movements also. In Polish poetry the motive of love changes from time to time. In this study the motive of love which is seen in Polish literature from middle ages to realism is analyzed.
