The aim of this work is to present the person and the collecting passing of a 19th century Polish landowner Konstanty Świdziński. The chief subject of the deliberations is a part of the collection he amassed, which at the time was called “archaeological”, and comprised, apart from strictly archaeological items, also specimens of handicraft, militaria and sculptures. The article lists the most important exhibits of the collection, known from archival sources and 19th century publications.
