Abstract

Este libro propone una nueva mirada sobre el patrimonio industrial y minero como herramienta estratégica para el desarrollo territorial sostenible. A través de un enfoque multidisciplinar, la obra analiza cómo las huellas materiales e inmateriales de la minería y la industria —paisajes, infraestructuras, cultura obrera, memoria colectiva y patrimonio tecnológico— pueden convertirse en recursos activos para la revitalización económica, cultural y social de territorios afectados por la despoblación y la desindustrialización. La publicación reúne investigaciones y experiencias sobre patrimonio industrial, arquitectura minera, ferrocarriles históricos, minería aurífera romana, museos, políticas culturales y modelos de gobernanza colaborativa desarrollados especialmente en el Noroeste Ibérico. Desde ejemplos como Las Médulas, el Ponfeblino, La Fábrica de Luz o el Museo de la Siderurgia y la Minería de Castilla y León, el volumen muestra cómo la conservación patrimonial puede integrarse en proyectos contemporáneos de innovación territorial, turismo sostenible y transferencia de conocimiento. Coordinado desde la Cátedra de Territorios Sostenibles y Desarrollo Local de la UNED, este libro constituye también una refl­exión crítica sobre el propio concepto de patrimonio industrial y minero, defendiendo una visión integradora que conecte historia, tecnología, paisaje y comunidad. Más allá de una mirada nostálgica hacia el pasado, la obra reivindica el patrimonio como un elemento útil para pensar el futuro de los territorios postindustriales.
