La guerra civile nella narrativa spagnola contemporanea

Abstract

A partire dagli anni Ottanta del Novecento la narrativa spagnola si è fatta variamente interprete del progressivo mutamento di sensibilità nei confronti del proprio passato storico. Nonostante si sia parlato, a questo proposito, di auge del «romanzo storico», per il corpus che si prende in esame nel presente saggio si preferisce usare la categoria di «narrativa della memoria», perché le opere di cui vi si dà conto non intendono tanto presentare un affresco delle vicende storiche che determinarono il tragico conflitto degli anni ’30, quanto recuperare le memorie perdute e sottaciute dagli stessi protagonisti di un passato troppo doloroso o troppo scomodo da ricordare. La narrativa spagnola sulla guerra civile e sul primo dopoguerra ha avuto un incremento significativo in questi ultimi venti anni. In questo contributo si passano in rassegna i romanzi più significativi pubblicati tra la fine degli anni '80 e il 2009.
