The aim of the following essay is to highlight, in the collection Acque e terre, some aspects of the word and of Quasimodo’s solipsism, as well as of the Edenic-vegetal world created by the poet. Starting from the lyrics, the investigation will consider the different typical lemmas of the poet’s idiolect, such as ‹‹silence››, ‹‹death››, in relation to a rich vegetal symbolism.
