Televisión y educación: del entretenimiento al aprendizaje

Televisión y educación: del entretenimiento al aprendizaje

Abstract

This article has two aims. The first is to show the formative capacity of television beyond its capacity to entertain. The contradictory research results relating television and education are presented and based on some studies done in our context, by us as well as by other researchers, it is defended that television is neither as harmful, nor displaces other activities, nor favours as high a use as sometimes is said. The second is to present some proposals and methodological strategies to use television as an educational resource. The conclusions emphasize the possibility that schools as an instititution should use TV contents and stories/narratives as a means of learning.SOMMAIRE: Deux sont les objectifs de ce travail.
