Per una tassonomia dei nominali 'risultato'

Abstract

L'oggetto di indagine di questo articolo è l'interpretazione dei nomi deverbali dell'italiano ottenuti per mezzo di suffissi trasposizionali. Questi nomi presentano frequentemente ambiguità lessicale: pertanto viene qui esplorato in un quadro d'analisi prettamente sincronico l'insieme delle interpretazioni raggruppate sotto il nome "risultato", ovvero le interpretazioni non azionali/non eventive. In particolare, si dimostra che la designazione di nominale "risultato" é troppo restrittiva, in quanto in questa classe sono indistintamente raccolti nomi che esibiscono varie tipologie interpretative. L'analisi si incentra sulla semantica eterogenea di tali nominali e cerca di cogliere una serie di tratti semantici in grado di accomunare le diverse interpretazioni. Si propone inoltre di distinguere i casi di polisemia logica o inerente dai casi di estensione semantica: questa distinzione permette di evidenziare la differenza fra la vaghezza che può caratterizzare i nominali deverbali e la reale ambiguità lessicale – ovvero la polisemia (che può essere logica/inerente, o effetto di estensione di senso).
