'Translation' is a typical communication form of that kind of finitude which is the human finitude. The passage of a discourse from a linguistic system to another is a movement that can modify the significance of the discourse. But this inevitable modifications are not only a failure of the translation, but the condition of possibility for a growth of a tradition. The paper aims to show in what sense it is possibile to think the translation as the condition for the tradition.
