Abstract

Il saggio fornisce un inquadramento d’insieme sull’Emilia occidentale durante il regno longobardo, e sia pure sulla base di una documentazione (scritta e archeologica) piuttosto scarsa individua le specificità di Parma nel suo ruolo di snodo viario e di realtà di confine.
